Our Editorial Team

Articles on C20 Sport News are published under the byline of the C20 Sport News Editorial Team: the writers, researchers and editors who produce the site together. We sign as a team because every article passes through several hands before it goes live, and the team as a whole is responsible for it.

Who does what

  • Writers and researchers choose topics from the questions fans actually ask, study the rulebooks, records and reporting behind them and write the first draft.
  • Editors check structure, clarity and tone, make sure the article answers the question in its title and link it to related guides on the site.
  • Fact-checking is done before publication for every article about a real person, team, event, business or venue. The sources are listed at the end of the article together with the date of the last check.

How an article is made

  1. Topic. We start from a real question: how a rule works, when a season starts, who holds a record, where to play.
  2. Research. Primary sources first: league and governing-body websites, official records, team and venue websites, then established sports media.
  3. Draft. Writers may use software tools, including AI writing assistants, for research support and drafting.
  4. Edit and check. A person edits the draft and verifies names, dates, numbers and claims. Anything we cannot confirm is left out.
  5. Publish and maintain. Articles show their publication and update dates. Fact-checked articles are rechecked before publication and at least every two months after.
